Day 25 - Sunday 7/24/2005 -  A slow day down the coast ...

Today will be a short entry.  The goal is just to head south.

After breaking camp we went into Portland to visit Powell's Bookstore.  Powell's is truly one of the most enjoyable bookstores I have seen.  It is a huge multilevel store that stocks just about anything you would ever want.  They even have a separate annex building that is dedicated to technical books.  Powell's carries new and used books, and it's fun to find old volumes on Pascal and DOS 3.3.  Hunter spent time in anime and I focused on tech and business.  After several hours and a cup of coffee and it was back on the road.  

We needed cleaning almost as much as our clothes, so we grabbed a cheap hotel in Eugene, Oregon and washed up.

In the morning he head to Crater Lake NP and Lava Beds National Monument.
