Day 4 - 7/19/2004 - Quiet time

Today was a well deserved day off in costal Maine.  We are staying at Hermit Island, just north of Portland.  If you can get past the biting pests, it is very nice.  We are staying there again tonight and moving on up to Baxter State Park on Tuesday (tomorrow).  If all goes well, we will try to reach the summit of Katahdin on Wednesday.  The ankle feels good, but is still a little weak.  I will probably tape it (or both) just in case.  

Hunter is doing very well and the camping seems to suit him.  We had lunch at Harraseeket, and Hunter had his long desired lobster.  He had been talking about it since we left VA.  We then went on to see the new "I, Robot" movie, and we are winding down in Borders (and enjoying some tunes).

Next update will probably not be until we get to VT, NY, or maybe WI.
