Although it ranks close to last in terms of height, Driskill
Mountain ranks at the midpoint in terms of difficulty. To tell the truth,
the hike is more of a time consuming task than difficult. The first part
of the trail up the "mountain" is a rutty, reddish dirt road that
can be muddy and slippery in spots. After about 10 minutes, the road continues
off to the left (down a hill) and the trail to the summit is off to the right.
The trail is easy to follow and an is a pleasant diversion from the "drivable"
that populate most of the South. After about 15 minutes of hiking, there
is a large (relative) hill, and then the summit.
