Day 8 - 7/7/2005 -  BYOB Oh-2...

Today is the day we climb Elbert. It was undoubtedly the toughest thing I have ever done. There is probably nothing I can add that is not in the Summit report (click here for pics and a description of the Elbert climb).

After the climb, we broke camp and headed south toward Mesa Verde.  We found a motel in Buena Vista, CO and collapsed into the indoor pool and sauna.  After a hot shower, we walked across the street and ate at the "Buffalo Bar and Grill" we each ordered a full dinner and then ordered a plate of ribs.  

We went back to the motel to wash clothes and watch TV, but we both were asleep with 30 minutes.
