Day 49 - 9/2/2004 - Continuing east

Today was a driving day.  Hunter has been focusing on catching up on his Lord of the Rings readings for school.  We drove from Nebraska into Missouri.  We had hoped to get a campsite at Finger Lakes State Park, but everything is already starting to fill up for Labor day.  A good nights sleep and tomorrow we hope to hit the highest point in Missouri - Taum Sauk (in the Ozarks).  This effectively replaces the original plan to go through Ohio and Indiana on the way back and hit those highpoints.  The weather is predicted to be good.
